The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has chosen ConsenSys for a central bank digital currency (CBDC) payment network project. According to an official press release, ConsenSys will work on the second implementation phase of Project Inthanon-LionRock, signed between the HKMA and the Bank of Thailand (BOT) in May 2019. The blockchain-focused company will reportedly collaborate on the project with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Forms HK.
