The evolution of the digital currency issued by the central bank or China’s CBDC continues to show signs of progress. On July 8, a large national e-commerce platform and video sharing site joined the CBDC project, according to local news.
Meituan and Bilibilibili appear to have started working with various banks involved in the Yuan digital project. Meituan is an important service platform with more than 240 million consumers and five million local dealers. Bilibilibili is known as China’s largest video sharing website.
