
With the outbreak of the corona virus increasing worldwide and bringing many economic activities to a standstill, central banks in the eurozone appear to be inclined to the digital payment / currency system. At the moment, in many countries where the payment system is not fast, financial transactions are not available – be it paying a credit card bill or mortgage. an online purchase; or transferring money to a relative can take 2-3 days. A national digital currency managed in a single network could allow money to change hands almost immediately. According to Bank International Settlements (BIS), at least 17 Central Banking Digital Currencies (CBDC) initiatives have been launched to determine whether a digital currency:
